Providing Duress Capabilities to DECT Systems
Some employees are required to work in environments where their personal safety is at risk from personal attack or from injury. Whether they are lone factory workers, security guards, or healthcare providers, giving these workers COBS wireless duress handsets will ensure the alarm is raised (either manually or automatically if the user is rendered unconscious) in the event that urgent assistance is required.
COBS duress alert systems can be added to a range of KIRK DECT platforms, ensuring that peace of mind is delivered to users while also allowing organisations to meet their OH&S / duty of care obligations.
With handset features such as dedicated duress/alarm button, rip cord, man down (tilt switch) and location identification, the system ensures that alarms are raised and the victim’s location identified so that help can be rendered as quickly as possible. Alarm messages can be delivered to other COBS / KIRK phones or to other messaging systems as required. The system also offers support for lone workers via its periodic check feature.
