The ConnexALL Notification Server (CNS) is designed to run under any of the 32-bit Microsoft WindowsTM operating systems, including:
Windows 95 OSR2
Windows 98 Second Edition
Windows NT 4.0 (Server or Workstation)
Windows 2000
Windows XP
Minimum PC hardware recommendations:
Dedicated Pentium-class PC (200MHZ or higher)
Minimum 32MB RAM (Win 95/98) or 128MB (Win NT/2000)
Minimum 10MB available hard drive space for the ConnexALL executable and core database files. The reporting database generated by the CNS grows in direct proportion to the number of events handled by the system. It is therefore recommended that a minimum of 200MB be available to accommodate this growth.
Monitor and video card capable of displaying 1024x768 XGA resolution
CD-ROM drive
Network Interface Card (NIC) installed and properly configured with the TCP/IP protocolEven if the entire ConnexALL application is installed in a single stand-alone PC, a NIC card is still required (regardless of whether it is actually connected to a local area network). This is mandatory since all ConnexALL client modules communicate with the CNS via TCP/IP. The TCP/IP protocol cannot be enabled within Windows unless a physical NIC card is present.
If ConnexALL is connected to a local area network (LAN), it must be assigned a static IP address by the network administrator.
